What's a reunion and who can come?

Reunions happen every five years at CSC and are open to current or former campers and staff of CSC and their families. New prospective families are also welcome to join us! There will be all sorts of fun activities and social gatherings for you and your family to enjoy and spend time with old camp friends. Reunions are also a great time to introduce your children to CSC if you are planning on sending them one day. So, come one, come all, we hope you can make it!

Schedule and Activities at a glance

Reunions are full of all of your favorite camp classics! Create new memories at the lake, climb to the top of the climbing wall, and laugh until your stomach hurts with new friends and old over a campfire. Events will kick off with ‘move-in’ on Thursday afternoon! The below schedule is a snap shot and may be subject to change.

Thursday

  • Check-in & Registration (1pm to 5pm)
  • Store Open (2pm to 4pm)
  • Meet & Greet Social Hour (5pm to 6pm)
  • First Reunion Dinner (6pm)
  • After Dinner…Tie-Dye, Games, Photo Albums, Activity Sign-Ups, and More!

Friday

  • Free for All Free Choices! May include…Art Barn, Horses, Lake, Climbing Wall, Small Animals, Target Sports, Field Games, Biking, and maybe more!
  • We are planning on a large group activity too! Maybe a camp-wide scavenger hunt.
  • Costume/Dress-Up Dinner
  • After Dinner…MAy include CSC Slideshow Presentation, Game Night, Raffle, and a movie outside!

Saturday

  • All-Day Departures: Options may include Climb Engineer, Swim at Lemon Lake, Visit Mesa Verde, Horseback Trail Ride, Rob’s Ridge Hike
  • There will be on-site alternatives to All-Day options too!
  • After Dinner…CSC Campfire with Songs and Skits, Bonfire at the Lake and S’mores Bar!

Sunday

  • Final Breakfast (8:30am)
  • Goodbyes/Check-out (9:30am to 11:30am)
  • Store Open (9:30am to 12pm)

Lodging & Accommodations

If you plan to stay at camp, all camp areas will be available and you can request a specific camp area and cabin during the registration process. If you are coming with a family or group, you can also request an entire cabin for your party. There is RV parking available, but no hookups. If you plan to come in an RV or camper van, additional details of where to park and which washhouses/bathrooms to use will be shared ahead of arrival.

What else do you need to know?

  • The only difference between Full and Partial Registration is lodging. Full Registration includes lodging in CSC camp cabins or on-site primitive camping, and Partial Registration is for those booking lodging on their own in town.
  • Single Day Registration does not include lodging.
  • Meal Schedule: Breakfast at 8:30am, Lunch at 12:45pm, and Dinner at 6pm.
  • We will be planning traditional and fancier meals for all to enjoy!
  • There will be transportation available to and from the Durango Airport (DRO).
  • During registration, you will be able to make cabin requests and cabins in each camp will be available.
  • The camp store will be open so you’ll have chances to get all the latest CSC swag!
  • The schedule and activities are subject to change.

We can't wait to celebrate 55 years of fun and adventure in the Red Creek Valley! Registration will open during the Fall/Winter of 2024. In the meantime, complete an alumni registration form to stay up to date!
